Get Fit and Thrive Challenge 2023

Check Off your Challenge Card at the Y!

Children between the ages of 6 and 14 are invited to participate in the Get Fit and Thrive Challenge. Participants can fill out their Get Fit and Thrive Challenge cards by engaging in healthy activities at the Y. Playing sports, swimming, taking a gymnastics class, and exercising at the fitness center are all activities that qualify for the challenge.

If a participant successfully completes a challenge card, they will be eligible for a monthly prize drawing as well as a grand-prize drawing for a weekend retreat at the Hotel Del Coronado. Grand-prize package includes a 2-night stay for 2 adults and 2 children, private s'mores on the beach, breakfast buffet and more! The contest is scheduled to run until August 31, 2023.

Starting May 1, 2023, Challenge Cards will be available at all YMCA branches and can also be downloaded via the button below. Visit the Star 94.1 website for contest details.

Through its collaboration with the San Diego Office of Education, San Diego County Childhood Obesity Initiative, and Kaiser Permanente, Star 94.1's Get Fit and Thrive aims to encourage families to eat healthily and be active by offering healthy alternatives and enjoyable activities for children to participate in with their families all summer.
