What is the Strong Challenge?

It’s a free 21-Day challenge with YMCAs around the country to help you grow stronger in spirit, mind and body. Accept the challenge and be a part of three weeks of skill-building, habit-forming and connecting to yourself and others. If you feel stuck, frozen, or just need a little (or big!) nudge forward, the STRONG Challenge will help focus and build your healthy lifestyle skills!

Who can participate?

We invite everyone to participate — you do not have to be a member of the Y to take part in this fun and motivating challenge. The Y will provide fun and engaging activities to help make our community STRONGer!

How do you accept the challenge?

Register by yourself or with a group of friends. You'll be able to take part in fitness challenges, podcasts, video messages and an online support community group.

Tips for the Strong Challenge

  • BODY: Visit the Y near you at least twice a week (or log on to work out! Our Virtual YMCA counts toward your twice a week workout!)
  • MIND: Create your own or join a group to hold yourself accoutable!
  • SPIRIT: Develop habits to strengthen your spirit by taking time everyday to focus on mindfulness! Reading, spirituality, meditation, self-awareness, acts of kindness and more! Even just a few minutes goes a long way.
