Several Barney & Barney employees led by staff from CorporateTeams, a team building and event planning group, built bikes for eight deserving children from the Palomar Family YMCA in Escondido, CA, one of San Diego County's lowest income communities.

This special team building event was held on Wed., Aug. 7 at the Barney & Barney, LLC offices in San Diego. The bikes were presented to the kids as a complete surprise to the staff as well as the children receiving them.

¢‰âÒIs this really mine? I can't believe it!¢‰âÂå said seven year-old Raylin from Escondido. The children were thrilled to be taking home bikes and couldn't stop thanking the Barney & Barney staff.

Children from the Palomar Family YMCA were selected to receive a new bike because they never have had a bike or their families simply could not afford to purchase one. Because of Barney & Barney's commitment to their staff and community, eight children, ages 6 12, will now have the opportunity to explore the outdoors on a brand new bike.

Each child was introduced to the Barney & Barney employees who built their bike. In addition to a custom fit bike, each child received a helmet and lock. All bikes were inspected by a bike-safety technicians.
