What is the California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC)?

The Y is proud to partner with 2-1-1 San Diego to ensure our members and participants are able to take full advantage of CalEITC if they qualify. CalEITC is a cashback tax credit for individuals and income-eligible working families in San Diego. This credit may reduce the amount you owe or even increase your tax refund.

Through CalEITC more than 2 million people were able to claim the credit in 2019, bringing the total close to $395 million. (2-1-1 San Diego) Families were able to use this additional income to help with everything from groceries and transportation to building savings and establishing their financial security!

What is the Young Child Tax Credit (YCTC)?
