The YMCA of San Diego County is opening its doors again to all those families in need of emergency care Friday, May 16, 2014 without charge from 6 am 6 pm. With many San Diego County Schools and Districts closed because of fire and evacuation mandates and precautions, many children will need a place to go. Our Y branches located in areas not affected by fire will be available as needed until filled.
The Y provides a supervised, safe, enriching environment through non-structured, age-appropriate play activities in an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment.
- WHEN: 6 am 6 pm, if care is needed outside of 6 am to 6 pm or needed for younger children, call YMCA Child Care Referral line at 1-800-481-2151.
- WHO: Children K through 6th grade
- HOW: Parents are encouraged to bring their children to their closest Y location.
