group of smiling kids at camp

This summer, you can help our community’s children regain a bit of what was lost, so they can focus on learning, growing and thriving in a safe, fun environment.

As another school year comes to a close, it is evident that our youth are experiencing a mental health crisis. Now two years into a pandemic, children have experienced significant setbacks emotionally, mentally and academically.

But there’s hope. And you can be part of the solution.

The YMCA is committed to helping kids heal from stress and uncertainty. We’ve been there for kids and families since Day One and have renewed our efforts to do all we can to help youth grow and thrive. We were able to safely open our camps the last two summers and know the tremendous impact it has had on kids.

This year, we want to ensure more kids can attend and reap the benefits. We need your continued support of the Kids to Camp program so that kids can have fun, be safe and regain their stronger selves.

Our staff will create a phenomenal summer for more than 10,000 kids who will participate in our day camps. Here's how your support will help make that happen:

  • CAMP GIVES KIDS TIME TO BE KIDS. They sing, dance, run and get creative in a space where kids gain a sense of belonging and inclusion. This imaginative, free play has been missing and is so critical to their development.
  • CAMP NURTURES A SENSE OF COMMUNITY. A sense of community is nurtured at camp. Children spend their days strengthening and building new friendships – a welcome contrast to the isolation many experienced over the last two years.
  • ALL CHILDREN ARE WELCOMED AT CAMP, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. To ensure cost is not a barrier to participation, your generous support helps every child have access to camp and the life-changing benefits it provides.

Last year, young campers received $840,000 in scholarships.

This summer, you can make a huge impact on our community’s youth. Your generous support will ensure we can provide a summer filled with new friendships, good old-fashioned play, and a sense of belonging. Your gift is the gift of hope and rebuilding.

Please consider making a gift today to the YMCA Kids to Camp program.

Thank you for supporting our children!
