The YMCA of San Diego County is excited to announce the newest addition to our family, the Beach and Bay Family YMCA. This new facility offers an outdoor open-use training and personal training space, group exercise classes and indoor cardio for every fitness level. The Beach and Bay Family YMCA also hosts the only Padel Tennis courts in San Diego and offers youth programs including afterschool, day camp and child watch while you work out. From stretching and strength training, to outdoor stationary cycling and yoga, you’ll find something that’s fun, supportive and keeps you moving!

All-Access Membership

Membership at the YMCA includes plenty of opportunities to learn, play and get healthy. That’s because when you join one Y, you join them all! When you enroll at a YMCA near you, your membership will include all the benefits at your home branch with access to the offerings at 18 locations across San Diego County.

We are currently fundraising to help build this state-of-the-art YMCA fitness center in Pacific Beach, in partnership with the San Diego Unified School District.

Meanwhile, we're offering programs to help families strengthen their spirit, body and mind.

  • Personal Training
  • KickStart
    • KickStart is a personalized wellness program consisting of three one-on-one sessions over thirty days, free for all members of the YMCA!
  • Group Exercise Class

Sports at the Y: Do More, Be More

Look at our sports and special-interest programs and try a new activity or pursue one you've always loved.

  • Youth and Adult Team Sports
  • Padel Tennis
    • Padel Tennis is a racket sport which combines elements of tennis and squash. The smaller court and surrounding walls allow players of all ages and experience levels to have fun playing and socializing.
    • We offer the only two padel tennis courts in San Diego, open play for family and friends, certified padel coaches, and one on one or small group private classes.
  • PLAY (Physical Learning Activities for Youth) at Crown Point Jr. Music Academy
    • PLAY is a program that the YMCA sponsors at public, charter, and private schools. Its curriculum and daily activities center around physical fitness, health education, and character development

Child Care at the Y: Call on Us

The YMCA is the nation's leading provider of child care. Playful, engaging options are plentiful for young children at the Y.

  • Child Watch
    • Child Watch and Kids Club is a program where the YMCA provides up to two hours of free supervised playtime in a safe, enriching environment for those with family memberships while they utilize the Y's facilities
    • The hours for Child Watch, for children 6 weeks to 12 years old, are 
      • Monday-Thursday 8:00 am-11:00 am, 4:00 pm-7:00 pm
      • Friday 7:45 am-11:00 am
      • Saturday 7:00 am-10:30 am 
  • Before and After School Care
    • Offered on site at Barnard Asian Pacific Language Academy and Pacific Beach Middle School
  • Recreational Enrichment
    • On Site at the Beach & Bay Family YMCA

Camp with the Y: Our Doors Are Open

The YMCA of San Diego County is proud to offer several amazing camps where every child can build confidence and make new friends in a safe and nurturing environment. Members get up to 25% off camp registration and we offer scholarships to families who qualify.

  • Day Camp is a weekday adventure for children offered by locations across the YMCA of San Diego.

Membership and Program Assistance

The YMCA offers financial scholarships to reduce membership and program fees to those that qualify, helping ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

Our scholarship program is based on a sliding fee scale that is designed to fit each family's financial situation, and is available thanks to our generous Annual Campaign donors.
