The Palomar Family YMCA wants to thank our members, supporters and community for their patience, commitment and passion for our Y. We are grateful that you are a part of our Y community.

The Palomar Family YMCA, which has been closed to facility members due to the COVID-19 pandemic, currently remains closed.  However, we continue to serve the critical needs in Escondido as we have for the past decades through many of our social service programs. During this time, we remain open and are operating our Transition-Aged Youth Academy (TAY) and gymnastic programs onsite. YMCA Childcare Resource Service will relocate, but will continue to serve Escondido families. Our Y also continues to manage the school-age childcare programs for the Escondido Union School District and will continue to serve the children and families on school campuses.

To bridge the gap in your fitness routine, we encourage you to join us at the Joe & Mary Mottino Family Y in Oceanside or the Rancho Family Y in Rancho Peñasquitos for fitness activities and lap swim.

We again thank you sincerely for your support and hope you’ll remain involved as we continue to serve the Escondido community.

We believe children are strong, capable learners who learn best through social and environmental interactions. The preschool is licensed by the State of California and offers quality care and excellent standards of the YMCA.

We also offer free Child Watch services for Family memberships for up to two hours while mom or dad make use of the Y. Playful, engaging options are plentiful for young children while you exercise or connect with others over shared interests.

The YMCA of San Diego County is proud to offer several amazing camps where every child can build confidence and make new friends in a safe and nurturing environment. From horseback riding in Julian to surfing in Imperial Beach, each of our camps have something special to offer the young adventurer in your life.

Being healthy means more than simply being physically active. It's about maintaining a balanced spirit, mind and body. The Y is a place where you can work toward that balance by challenging yourself to learn a new skill or hobby, fostering connections with friends through our lifelong learning programs, or bringing your loved ones closer together through our many family-centered activities.
