Walter G. Wells who exemplify the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through their character and service. \nDR. leonard Thompson III\nDr. Leonard J. Thompson III is a visionary leader whose life reflects his love of God\, family and community. Labeled a special needs student early in life\, his faith and work ethic enabled him to graduate as his high school’s first African American valedictorian. He attended UC Berkeley as a Regent & Chancellor Scholar\, earned a B.S. in Business Administration from San Diego State University\, and an M.S. in Education from Point Loma Nazarene University. Dr. Thompson is an ordained Elder in the Church of God in Christ and holds an Honorary Doctorate in Theology. \n																														 \nFounder of M.A.N.D.A.T.E. Records Inc.\, San Diego’s long-standing record label\, he has produced 100+ music and video projects\, tours and concerts. In 2014\, he launched Mandate Project Impact\, a nonprofit training inner-city youth in music\, TV\, film\, radio and event production. \nA Christian radio advocate\, he founded GODRadio1.com\, a two-time Stellar Award-winning station with 100\,000+ listeners in 71 countries. Retired after 39 years in education\, Dr. Thompson continues as a consultant\, creating programs to uplift youth and African American students. \nHe has worked with artists including Kirk Franklin\, Chante Moore and The Clark Sisters\, and served on boards such as the San Diego Urban League and NAACP. He shares his life with his wife Dr. Michelle R. Thompson\, daughter Kierra\, granddaughter Amari Michelle and family. \nDr. Walter g. wells\nDr. Walter G. Wells is a pastor\, teacher\, and community leader whose faithful service spans more than five decades of transformational ministry. In March 1973\, while recovering from a serious car accident and preaching on crutches with his leg in a cast\, he delivered his inaugural sermon proclaiming the Gospel of Salvation in Christ Jesus. Despite early naysayers\, his divine calling\, spiritual discernment and unwavering commitment to prayer\, leadership and growth were recognized by the congregation. \n																														 \nFounder of Mt. Erie Christian Academy\, he also established early childhood centers\, daycare programs and appreciation services celebrating preaching\, biblical study and servant leadership. He expanded youth engagement through revivals\, retreats\, seminars and Bible study programs that grew into Men’s and Women’s Retreats impacting multiple generations. \nCommitted to community advancement\, Dr. Wells led initiatives including the George Stevens Senior Center\, children’s church\, summer literacy programs\, health fairs\, fitness events and educational partnerships. In 2010\, he introduced the Kaiser Permanente Internship Program mentoring sixth-grade students. He also established a multimedia “Stream Team” in 2019 and led virtual worship during the COVID-19 pandemic. \nDr. Wells has received numerous honors including the 4th District Shepherd’s Award\, the Living Legacy Award and appointment as President of the California Baptist State Congress on Christian Education. He shares his life with his wife\, family and community. \n2026 Keynote Speaker: \nDr. John E. Warren\nThe Rev. Dr. John E. Warren is President of Warren Communications\, Inc.\, an African American owned multimedia group doing business on the East and West Coasts. \nHe has served as Publisher of the 65-year-old San Diego Voice & Viewpoint for more than three decades. He currently serves as the elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Newspaper Publishers Association\, representing more than 200 African American Newspapers and media outlets across the United States. \nPrior to moving to San Diego\, Dr. Warren spent over a decade on Capitol Hill working for three African American members of Congress: the Honorable Adam Clayton Powell\, Jr.\, Shirley Chisholm and Augustus F. Hawkins\, and served as a Legislative Assistant to the House Committee on Education & Labor. \n																														 \nHe served as an elected member of the Washington\, D.C.\, Board of Education for nine years\, and four years as a Member of the Board of Directors of the National School Boards Association with more than 90\,000 members nationwide at the time. His distinguished career in public service included serving as a Vice President of the National Institute of Public Management while directing its Center on Social Insurance and Income Security. During this time\, he also served as a consultant to the National League of Cities and the U.S. Conference of Mayors. \nBorn in Henderson\, N.C.\, he grew up in Washington\, D.C.\, where he attended public schools during the implementation of the Brown vs. Board of Education Supreme Court Decision. He continued his higher education at Howard University\, where he obtained both his undergraduate degree and years later graduated from the Howard University School of Law. He continued his Graduate Studies at the University of Southern California in Public Policy and Public Administration\, and holds a lifetime teaching credential with the California Community College system. He is a past member of th National Bar Association. \nHere in San Diego\, Dr. Warren worked as a Law Clerk for both San Diego County Counsel and the City Attorney’s Office before being invited to serve as an AdjunctProfessor at National University\, where he created and taught their GovernmentContracts curriculum. He also taught Public Policy and School Law and Finance\, andserved as a Member of the University’s Board of Trustees. \nHis established career in journalism includes both print and broadcast experiences. He is a member of the California News Publishers Association and a founding member of the Black Publishers Media Association in California. For almost a decade he was a weekly commentator of KPBS’s Editor Roundtable\, he received Associated Press recognition for an earlier radio program he co-hosted with Rodger Hedgecock\, and he and his late wife Gerri also produced and co-hosted a Voice & Viewpoint weekly television program. He is the co-founder of the San Diego County Black Chamber of Commerce and he and his late wife founded and produced the Gold Coast Classic which brought Black College and University Football to San Diego for nine years\, while generating scholarships for local students. Several of them attended and graduated from HBCUs. \nDr. Warren is co-founder and Pastor of the Eagle’s Nest Christian Center. He served as a commissioned officer in the United States Army from which he has been honorably discharged for more than 50 years. وارن\n \nدکتر وارن رئیس شرکت ارتباطات وارن، یک گروه رسانه‌ای برجسته متعلق به آمریکایی‌های آفریقایی‌تبار با روزنامه‌های محلی است که سواحل شرقی و غربی را پوشش می‌دهد. او ناشر «صدا و دیدگاه سن دیگو»، یک
