Y Club: Expanded Learning Opportunity Program- Bella Mente Montessori Academy

Expanded Learning Opportunity Programs (ELOP) is one of several state-funded programs offered by the Joe and Mary Mottino Family YMCA in partnership with the Bella Mente Montessori Academy. This program strives to ensure that all students are academically socially, culturally and physically healthy.

In collaboration with Joe and Mary Mottino Family YMCA, along with the Bella Mente Montessori Academy, students and their families, we will work together to assure that our program serves in promoting entire student development and lifelong learning. Y Club is a way to ensure your child is in a safe, fun, and caring environment before and/or after school. Each day includes new curriculum or activity to help participants learn, build life skills, and develop healthy relationships — including healthy snacks, sports and games, art and music, tutoring and more!

Registration Information

Y Club is offered through Bella Mente Montessori’s Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) and is free for students who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals, homeless youth, and for students in foster care. These eligible students and families will be notified for participation in program at no cost.

The YMCA will also offer ELOP to all other students and families based on a sliding scale tuition that considers family income and ability to pay. Apply for a Scholarship online here to access the application for reduced fees. Program Scholarships are available to those that qualify.

How to Apply to Y Club Before and After School Program

Enrollment and Participation Information

Register online to secure your spot in Y Club! Registration fee of $50 will be collected. Once your registration fee is collected, you will fill out an enrollment packet where you will: provide your child(s) information, sign up for specific program options (5 days/3 days/2 days), and review and sign Y Club admissions agreement. If you are registering more than one child, please register them individually. Please allow three (3) business days to enroll your child(ren) and contact you to schedule monthly payments.

• All students from TK to Grade 8 who attend the ELOP school site can apply.
• Applications can be completed through our online application. 

Important Documents and PDF Forms

• Please create your YMCA account here, to access and fill out your child/children's medical forms, photo waivers, emergency contacts etc.

Priority enrollment is given to students who:

• Are experiencing homelessness.
• Are currently in the foster system.
• Receive free or reduced lunch.
• Are English Language Learners (ELL).
• Date of application/interest form submission.
• Families must re-apply each school year as current enrollment does not guarantee enrollment in future school years.

Enrollment is also determined by:

• Total space available in the program at each school

Monthly Fees for Y Club at Bella Mente Montessori Academy

Enrollment & Participation Information

Fees have been calculated based upon an annualized rate of the total number of program days and divided into 11 equal monthly payments regardless of the number of school days per month of service. Fees cover all minimum days.

• Registration date: TBD
• Registration fee is $50 per child.
• Full-time is considered 5 days per week.
• Part-time is considered 3 days per week, 2 days (minimum).
