When it comes to preparing young people for the workforce, few things are as important as youth employment programs. By giving them the opportunity to gain real-world experience, these programs help to level the playing field and provide a much-needed leg up in today's competitive job market. In addition to paid internships and career coaching, our programs also offer attractive incentives that can make a big difference in a young person's life. With so much at stake, it's clear that youth employment programs are essential for ensuring that all young people have a chance to succeed.
At the Y, we believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed in the workforce. That's why we offer three programs to help prepare them for the real world.
HELPING INDIVIDUALS RETAIN EMPLOYMENT (HIRE)
At HIRE, we support Black or African American-identifying, out-of-school youth ages 16-24 with employment and educational readiness and services. Our goal is to help these young people develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the workforce.

CAREER
Through our CAREER program, we provide specialized employment support to all single parents, 18 years or older, who have been laid off. We understand the unique challenges that single parents face, and we are committed to helping them find new opportunities.
INTERSECTIONS
At Intersections, we support LGBTQ+ youth, ages 17-24, in exploring the unique barriers and struggles of living with intersecting identities in an inclusive, affirming, and healing environment. Our programs are designed to give all young people the tools they need to succeed in the workforce and in life.
