SDG&E Heat & Energy Safety: Learn tips to beat the heat, manage summer energy costs, and discover the SD EnergyEdge program to help manage both the physical and financial strain of running air conditioning. Plus, learn about using the Mottino branch as a designated “Cool Zone.”
Oceanside Library – “Plant a Seed” Summer Reading: Discover the library as a local “Cool Zone” with fun summer activities (matinees, puzzle stations, crafting, lectures and more), access to digital streaming and audiobooks and details on the “Plant a Seed” reading program.
Aging & Independent Services (AIS): Find out how to receive a free energy-efficient electric fan for your home, learn about free ride share and transportation options to reach local Cool Zones and explore support services available for isolated seniors.

CPR & FIRST AID CLASS
August 19 & August 26 | 12:00–3:00pm
Gain practical knowledge and the confidence to respond in an emergency. This class is ideal for grandparents and caregivers, covering choking response, first aid for burns, and how to recognize and treat heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
