The Y has always been more than a fitness center—in fact, it is one of the most effective and enduring charitable organizations in the country dedicated to strengthening our communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, and the nation’s leading provider of child care. At the Y, babies develop trust and security, preschoolers experience early literacy and learn about their world and school-age kids make friends, learn new skills and do their homework. Most importantly, children learn how to be their best selves. That makes for confident kids today, and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow.
At the Y, our goal is to provide every family with trusted child care resources. We offer quality full-day and partial-day child care for infants through preschoolers, care for children and teens with special needs, and respite care, enabling parents and family members to go to work knowing their loved ones, stimulating environments.
We offer a variety of resources for families to help make informed decisions about their child care options and family issues. We publish a quarterly newsletter along with brochures on a variety of topics, including program information and steps to choosing quality child care.
We provide parents, child care programs, students, and other community members with a Resource Library at our Mission Valley office located at 4451 30th Street, San Diego 92116.
