The Cameron Family YMCA has recently begun a solar-generated energy project as part of the Y’s conservation effort. The new solar system is expected to generate nearly 75% of the electricity used by the facility. Please note that construction may require a few closures in October (e.g. close early on Saturday, open late on Sunday), and we will do our best to proceed during non-peak times.
“We could not be more excited to activate a new era of sustainability for the Cameron Family YMCA,” said Debby Lenz, Executive Director, Cameron Family YMCA. “Utilizing solar energy will reduce our energy costs so that we are able to continue the standard of providing excellent, affordable programs to our local communities for years to come.”
