Recently, KPBS’s media partner, Speak City Heights, featured the Copley Family YMCA and their programming that offers East African women and their children the opportunity to get in the water and stay active this summer. For these women in City Heights, taking a dip isn’t so easy because of many cultural barriers and guidelines in their faith.
