Elaine-Marie Hartmann, Interim Department Head for the East County Family YMCA – McGrath was recently in Chicago as part of the YMCA of the USA MECA (Mutlicultural Executive Career Advancement) program. The objective of MECA is to prepare emerging leaders of color for Executive Director positions utilizing the 70/20/10 learning model. Elaine was selected to be part of the second cohort named “PHOENIX” and is the only participant from the West Coast to be selected. Only fourteen staff from across the country were selected for the program. We are very proud of Elaine!
