How they work
Each of our three overnight camps offers a unique activity experience designed to help campers learn new skills, build confidence and have fun in an engaging outdoor environment.
At Camp Surf and Raintree Ranch, campers spend much of their time participating in specialty activities that allow them to develop skills and confidence in a focused area of interest. Camp Marston offers a broader range of activities, giving campers the opportunity to explore many different interests throughout their stay.
Why Are Camp Activities Important?
Camp activities help children develop self-confidence, resilience, teamwork and social skills. They encourage campers to step away from electronic devices and participate in meaningful, hands-on experiences that promote independence and personal growth.
Our goal is to help campers step outside their comfort zones and try new things. This is often a space where the greatest growth happens — whether it’s learning a new skill, overcoming a challenge or building new friendships.
structured and choice activities
Our camps provide a balance of structured activities and camper choice.
Some activities are core parts of the camp experience and are enjoyed by all campers together. Other activities allow campers to explore their own interests and continue building skills in areas they enjoy most.

Achievement Programs
Our achievement programs are designed to inspire motivation, build perseverance and encourage a growth mindset. Each program includes structured curriculum that allows campers to progress through different skill levels while celebrating personal achievements, milestones and growth.
- Raintree Ranch features the BOLO Program
- The PASSPORT Program can be used at all three camps
Camp activities are at the heart of the overnight camp experience. They foster personal growth, teamwork and community while helping campers develop skills at their own pace. Most importantly, camp activities create opportunities for lasting friendships, unforgettable memories and experiences that stay with campers long after summer ends.
