INVOLVED IN SERIOUS BIKE ACCIDENT,
IN STABLE CONDITION
San Diego, CA, June
1, 2011, 5:40 p.m. The YMCA of San
Diego County is saddened to announce that Baron Herdelin-Doherty, President and
CEO of the YMCA of San Diego County, was involved in an accident on Tuesday, May
31 while he was riding his bicycle along State Route 56. He was struck by a car,
injured and has been hospitalized. His family
reports he is in stable condition.
Our thoughts and
prayers go out to all involved in the accident and their families.
During this
difficult time, we are committed to continuing the powerful work of the Y under
the leadership of the YMCA Operations Council and the Board of Directors to
ensure the smooth operation of the YMCA of San Diego
County.
