HOUSING OUR YOUTH

CONNECTING YOUNG PEOPLE to safe, stable housing across San Diego County

If you don’t have a safe place to stay, are couch surfing, staying in a shelter, or worried about losing your housing, the Y can help. Housing Our Youth connects young people up to age 24 with housing support, basic needs, and caring staff who can help them navigate what’s next. Through a network of trusted community organizations across San Diego County, we’re making it easier for young people to access the support they need — when and where they need it.

HOUSING OUR YOUTH RE-ENTRY PROGRAM

Our Re-Entry Program supports young adults ages 18–24 who are at risk of experiencing homelessness as they transition out of custody and back into the community.

Our team can work with participants before or after release to identify housing options, provide ongoing care coordination, and make connections to employment, education, behavioral health, and other supportive services.

Through individualized, wraparound support, the program helps young people build stability and move toward greater independence.

A COUNTYWIDE NETWORK OF SUPPORT

Housing Our Youth is a countywide partnership funded by the County of San Diego and led by the YMCA of San Diego County. Together with trusted community organizations, we’re making it easier for young people experiencing homelessness or housing instability to access support, resources, and housing opportunities throughout San Diego County.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO FIGURE IT OUT ALONE

If you’re worried about where you’ll stay, need support, or just aren’t sure what your next step is, we’re here to help.

Housing Our Youth is funded by the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency.
