MAGDALENA ECKE FAMILY YMCA SKATE PARK
Welcome to the World-Famous Ecke YMCA Skate Park
Located in Encinitas, this skate park is one of the largest and most dynamic skate parks in San Diego County. Our all-concrete facility features a mix of transitions, plaza elements and mini ramps—perfect for skaters of all levels. Mini Land offers a great starting point for beginners, while experienced skaters can push their limits in our kidney pool, sponsored by Spy and recognized as one of the best of its kind.
We’re also proud to house the 10 ft-size half-pipe donated by Team USA Olympian Bryce Wettstein—a local legend and longtime supporter of our Y. This is a great size ramp for anyone learning how to skate vert!

Skate Programs and Lessons
SKATE LESSONS | PRIVATE, GROUP, SEMI-PRIVATE
Lessons begin the first week of every month. Classes are one hour a week for the first four weeks of the month. We offer group, private and semi-private lessons.

ROLLER SKATE LESSONS
Whether you’re lacing up for the first time or looking to level up your skills, our expert instructors are here to help! Choose from private one-on-one lessons or semi-private sessions with a friend—perfect for personalized instruction and faster progress.
Lessons are open to all skill levels, ages 5 and up.
- 30-minute or 1-hour single lessons available
- Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday
- Private or semi-private lessons available
- Must bring your own roller skates
HOMESCHOOL SKATE PROGRAM
Ages 6-12
Homeschool skate is back! In these classes, amateur skaters will have the opportunity to improve their skills, learn proper skate park etiquette, make new friends and have fun with other homeschoolers!

A host to help with any set up and to make sure the kids are having a great time
