The YMCA of San Diego County earned the 2013 North American YMCA Development Organization (NAYDO) Communication Award for a multi-page marketing piece focused on how our Y enriches lives of children and young adults who attend YMCA Camp Marston, Camp Surf and Raintree Ranch. The piece was shared with thousands of donors, staff, members and participants. ¢âÂÒI can say it was the best week of my life,¢âÂå said Vivian, a young girl who was able to attend camp on financial assistance. The booklet included more than 20 letters, testimonials and drawings.
The North American YMCA Development Organization (NAYDO), in partnership with YMCA of the USA, YMCA Canada and YMCA Mexico, inspires and strengthens the philanthropic culture of the YMCA. Communicating our cause is central to the success of our YMCAs, and those who demonstrate excellence in this effort are recognized by NAYDO each year.
