In observance of Independence Day, our YMCA locations will be open from 7:00am–1:00pm. We will return to our regular hours of operation on Sunday, July 5, 2026. We wish all of our members and neighbors a fun, safe and happy Independence Day!
CONSTRUCTION IMPACT
FRIARS ROAD July 2026
Please be advised that we have received an update regarding the ongoing construction on Friars Road directly in front of the Mission Valley YMCA.
This phase of work and the associated traffic control setup will last for approximately four weeks — estimated completion to be late-July or early-August. This project will impact traffic flow and access to our location.
- Access Restriction: The YMCA parking lots will only be accessible when traveling eastbound on Friars Road. If you are traveling westbound, you will need to turn around via Napa Street and Linda Vista Road.
- Plan Ahead: Please plan for extra travel time and expect delays when arriving for your workouts, classes or programs.

Our FacilitY
Mission Valley YMCA features a spacious fitness center with training options that include EGYM smart-circuit training and GRAVITY training. Enjoy two pools, spas, four group fitness studios, a café and more. We operate a world-class off-site Skate and Bike Park and a soccer arena, both in Clairemont.
POOLS & SPAS
Two heated pools (indoor & outdoor) and two spas. Programming includes lap swim, water exercise classes, swim lessons, Masters and youth swim teams, family swim and more.
FITNESS CENTER
Our state-of-the-art wellness center features cardio equipment, outdoor workout area, circuit training, free weights and group fitness studios.
CAFÉ
Located in our lobby, enjoy coffee, juice, smoothies and small bites before or after your workout.
CHILD WATCH
While you exercise or relax at the Y, children ages 6 weeks to 12 years can play under the supervision of trained YMCA staff. Child Watch service is available to those with Community Plus family membership plans.
DIGITAL STUDIO
The digital studio provides a learning environment outfitted with high-tech tools for esports, programming/coding, LEGO robotics, 3D design and more.

REGIONAL EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, MISSION VALLEY YMCA
Located in the heart of San Diego, Mission Valley YMCA serves thousands of people from all over the county. This is a dynamic, thriving YMCA, and I’m honored to serve as its Regional Executive Director.
With state-of-the-art amenities and diverse programming for people of all ages, Mission Valley Y is a catalyst to transform lives and community. The Y is a nonprofit organization — we never turn anyone away due to an inability to pay.
Our Summerbridge program for middle school students helps bridge learning gaps; LiveStrong at the YMCA benefits cancer survivors; our grant-funded swimming lessons teach lifesaving skills, and our child care programs serve working parents.
We are proud to have dedicated board members, donors, volunteers and staff who are committed to ensuring our work — and the funds we raise — make a profound impact in the community.
