Welcome to the YMCA preschool at Dan McKinney Family YMCA.

The Y is the largest and oldest provider of youth development services in San Diego County, with a long history of providing a real, positive impact in the lives of children. We are dedicated to strengthening families as a community resource that nurtures the potential in children.

The YMCA preschool program is designed to support the growth and success of children cognitively, physically, emotionally and socially. Using developmentally appropriate materials, curriculum and activities in a play based environment, your child will be supported in learning social skills, Kindergarten readiness skills, engage in physical activities, and strengthen their values through learning helpfulness and kindness as the introduction to learning the four Core Values of the YMCA: Caring, Responsibility, Respect and Honesty.

Our excellent staff are background-cleared through the Department of Justice and trained in CPR, First Aid, and Child Abuse Prevention.

Programs & Tuition Costs

Full Day Program (Ages 2-5) 8:00am - 5:30pm

Runs Monday - Friday, year-round.

Children in diapers accepted.

Half Day Program (Ages 2-5)  8:30am - 12:30pm

Runs Monday – Friday, year-round. 

Children in diapers accepted.

Tuition:

• Nonmembers: $1,040 
• Member: Members receive up to a 15% discount with select Y membership plans. 

All programs require an annual registration fee of $100 for participants, members can receive up to a 15% discount with select Y membership plans.
