kids jumping off inflatableOn the coast of North County, off the Interstate 5 located in the Agua Hedionda Lagoon, the Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA aquatic park is home to day camps and family fun. The aquatic park is available for day pass or weekend rentals, and now hosts two-hour kayak tours!

Invite your friends and family! You don't have to be a member to join in the fun!


A day or weekend of fun at the Y's aquatic park includes lifeguard supervision for up to 50 people, inflatable slides and jumping, kayaking adventures, on-site facilities with showers and restrooms, and a garage loaded with life jackets and all opportunities for a safe, unique aquatic experience! Make a splash with a day pass or a weekend rental!

Day pass availability:

  • During summer, the YMCA Aquatic Park experiences limited availability for family day pass rentals due to camp fun!
  • For the 10 weeks of camp, the Magadalena Ecke Family YMCA aquatic park availability will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 2:30pm-6:00pm.

  • Ensure you have a credit card on file, and an account setup with us, so that once we get your written confirmation, we can bill you for your party.   • Confirm! We will sent you an email confirming your payment went through, the dates and time for your rental!
    • Please note our cancellation policy: cancellations must be made before the 15th of the month before your scheduled rental for a full refund. Late cancellations will be refunded 75%.

What does a daypass or weekend rental include access to?

  • Includes 2 Lifeguards, up to 50 swimming at a time OR kayaking
  • Additional lifeguards can be provided for an additional fee
  • On-site facilities with showers, restrooms
  • Garage with kayaks, inflatables, life jackets, all items necessary for aquatic fun!

What are the available days for a day pass or a weekend rental?

  • Fridays: 2:00pm-6:00pm
  • Saturdays: 10:00am-2:00pm
  • Sundays: 10:00am-2:00pm
  • Holidays/Weekdays without camp: 10:00am-2:00pm

KAYAK TOURS – Now Available!

Embark on a two-hour Kayak Tour at Agua Hedionda lagoon, hosted by Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA. Paddle through pristine waters, guided by our experts who reveal the lagoon’s rich history and diverse wildlife. With 14 on-site kayaks catering to all levels, our program combines adventure, education and relaxation. Join us for an immersive escape into nature!


  • Group or private tours available
    • Group tours of up to 10 people - registration takes place online!
    • Private tours must email Timothy for reservations
  • Single and double kayaks available (currently for use during the tour only)
    • Summer day passes will be available for renting additional kayaks not needed tours
  • Tours are 2 hours long


  • January - June and November - December | Saturday and Sunday
    • Morning sessions: 9:00-11:00am and 11:30 am-1:30pm
    • Afternoon sessions: 2:00-4:00pm
  • June - August | Monday - Thursday
    • Afternoon sessions: 2:00-4:00pm and 4:30-6:30pm
