ACTIVE AGING WEEK

Our camps are an exciting way to spend a school break! We include lots of action-packed activities that keep your children engaged and happy, like arts & crafts, sports and games. Set in the YMCA style of different crazy activities each and every day, your camper will have a great time while parents have peace of mind knowing their camper is safe. Register today!

The benefits of working with a personal trainer are endless! If you've been thinking about hiring a personal trainer, October is a great month to get started! Starting Tuesday, October 1, members can purchase packages online — filter for your branch and look for "Personal Training Special" — or visit any location. A branch wellness leader will then contact you to discuss your goals and connect you with a trainer.

FAMILY CAMP

YMCA Camp Marston offers unforgettable weekends full of fun and adventure for the whole family at our stunning overnight location in Julian. POOL IS REOPENING!

We're excited to announce that we've reached a significant milestone - a signed agreement approving a $1 million grant from the County Board of Supervisors for aquatic programming. This substantial funding will pave the way for reopening our pool, a crucial community resource, under the management of our Y. The pool is on track to reopen in the fall of 2024, offering grant provided swimming lessons monthly for the first year, a testament to our commitment to providing essential life skills to individuals of all ages.

SMALL GROUP TRAINING/TEAM CHALLENGE

Team Challenge is a team training program that works for any fitness goal. Over six weeks, participants will be challenged to move more and eat more healthfully. Managing weight is just one part of the challenge; emphasis will focus more broadly to help you be your best. Each week, you can earn points for yourself and your team by working out and practicing healthy living. Winning team with the most points at the end of the challenge will receive additional group training sessions! Join in on the challenge! ADULT SOCCER

Got game? Get back in the game with adult arena soccer for men, ages 18 and up, open division. Play takes place in the following sessions: 

  • Beginning at 6:15pm

    • Women's Open Division - 18+

SAN YSIDRO HEALTH

San Ysidro Health provides access to pediatric medical services via the Mobile Clinic. These services include:

  • Physical exams (routine, school and sports)
  • WIC Hemolgobin Test
  • Immunizations (bring your child’s shot record)
  • TB Skin Test (2 months – 17 years)

On-site services provided on the fourth Wednesday of each month 9:00am-2:45pm closed 12:00pm-1:00pm.

Family-time is special at the Y. Spend time together and discover new activities for your child to explore.

SOCCER RETAS

Come out and play! All teens in the area are invited to play in these epic soccer sessions, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:00pm, on the newly remodeled indoor soccer arena! Please bring closed-toe shoes, indoor soccer shoes, or cleats (no metal spikes) and your friends! Cost: $20 Y members | $26 nonmembers. Join us at the upcoming sessions!

SPORTS

From clinics and leagues to individual lessons, our youth sports programs are designed to help your child grow, regardless of their skill level. With the support of our dedicated coaches, players will improve their coordination, balance, and technique, empowering them to elevate their game and achieve their full potential. DANCE

Calling all who like to 'pointe' their tippy, tappy toes! We are now offering dance classes! Students are introduced to the basics of ballet or hip hop. Class uses imagination, music and game play to teach students balance, posture, rhythm and simple ballet or hip hop steps Learn more and sign up.

PICKLEBALL

Play pickleball at Border View Family YMCA! Play takes place in the gymnasium on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:00am–11:00am. Free for members — just show up!

CASA FAMILIAR

Casa Familiar providing support to community members with direct immigration services and immigration-related information. Consultations available for diverse immigration processes by a DOJ Accredited Representative that do not require legal assistance.

ZUMBA PARTY IN PINK

Saturday, October 12 | 1:30-3:30pm | Border View Family YMCA Gymnasium

Join your favorite Zumba instructors for a fun, two-hour workout benefiting our YMCA Annual Support Campaign. Wear the color pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and get ready to dance the afternoon away! When registering, please add your name in the comments section to be added to the event roster for admission. Suggested donation is $30/person. Register today!

CONVERSATION AND CONNECTION GROUP

Join us at Border View Family YMCA for an evening of connection and conversation with a community of parents, caregivers and child care providers. Dinner and child care will be available at no cost. No membership needed, RSVP to ensure your spot! Dinner will be from 5:30–6:00pm, followed by conversation from 6:00–7:30pm. Register today!

We've streamlined the child care search process with our enhanced referral system to help parents make the best decision for their families. Learn more!

  • Free Behavior Support Consultation Services for caregivers seeking support for challenging behaviors in children ages 0-8 (virtual and on-site).

  • Community Listening Sessions: We encourage community members to share their ideas, preferences and perspectives at our Community Listening Sessions.
  • Conmigo Project: We are partnering with San Diego State University Research Foundation to work with Latina mothers and their daughters to increase physical activity, mother-daughter communication and other areas of health and wellness.
  • Parent engagement and education sessions.

The San Diego County Centralized Eligibility List (CEL) is one application that connects you to different agencies across San Diego to help pay for child care for families who qualify. Child care has become the second-largest expense for families – spending up to 50% of their household budget a year. See if you qualify for this service today.
