HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

We're here to help you find what moves you at the Y!

UPCOMING EVENTS

Join us for our upcoming health and wellness events designed to invigorate both mind and body, promising to inspire holistic well-being and vitality.

NERVOUS SYSTEM WORKSHOP

Life after trauma can leave you feeling disconnected from your body, isolated from friends and loved ones, confused or angry and at times even out of control. Trauma shapes the way your nervous system responds to your environment and plays a critical role in how you show up in your relationships as well as your overall well-being. While you aren’t to blame for the negative things that have happened to you in the past, you are responsible for your healing. This workshop will give you a deeper understanding of your body’s natural alarm system, how to reprogram it and reclaim your body after trauma.

This workshop is an educational experience led by Katie Lewis, yoga facilitator, sound practitioner and body liberation coach. Join Katie as she helps you remember how to come home to yourself through embodiment practices like yoga, breathwork and sound healing and experience the power of being in community. Register online or at the Welcome Center.

  • WHEN: Saturday, November 9, 2024 | 10:00am–12:00pm
  • FEE: Nonmembers: $35 (Up to 25% of with select Y memberships)

For questions or more information, please contact Jeff Bence at [email protected]

Sessions are held in the MPR room. Please register at the Welcome Center to reserve your spot.
