CHILD WATCH MEMBERSHIP OPTION

Family members can opt to add a Child Watch option to their accounts, which includes unlimited use of the service for $20 monthly. Use your Child Watch benefit at any YMCA that offers the service. While you exercise or relax at the Y, children can play under the supervision of trained YMCA staff. Child Watch is open to children ages 6 weeks to 9 years old!

THE PRACTICE: MINDFUL MEDITATION

Join us on Tuesdays at 9:30am for The Practice, 30-minute mindful meditation sessions facilitated by our Executive Director, Jonathon Collopy, Ph.D. Experience the resource of stillness, from which we can be aware of the present, bring calm into our lives and find the clarity to view and choose how we will be. Sessions are held in the MPR room. Please register at the Welcome Center to reserve your spot.

PERSONAL TRAINING | YOGA

Experience the benefits of personalized attention and guidance with our private yoga sessions.

  • Fee: 5 sessions for $350

SWIM AS ONE: SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING CLUB

Swim as one in our synchronized swimming club! Perform coordinated or identical movements in time to music with other Y members in this unique, fun way to work out on Mondays from 10:00 to 11:00 am. This club is great for all levels of swimmers — beginner levels are welcome too! Open to all Y members 18+ of all abilities. No registration required.

  • Improve your technique with our beginner clinics and practice!
    • Practices are on Mondays, 10:00am - 11:00am.
    • Beginner clinics are on the second Monday of the month from 10:30am - 11:00am.

Parents' Night Out

Fridays | 4:30pm - 7:30pm | Ages 3-12 | $25 members, $35 nonmembers— Enjoy an evening out while we entertain the kids with a movie, games, crafts and dinner! Childen must be potty trained. Registration is required at the Welcome Center or online. Register today!

YOUTH SPORTS & PEEWEE LESSONS

Get in the game this season with youth sports leagues, clinics and peewee lessons at the Ryan Family Y! - Sign up today

  • Youth sports leagues and clinics for basketball and soccer. 
    • Leagues: Join our youth soccer leagues and enjoy the benefits of our partnership with San Diego Loyal SC. Or get your head in the game and improve your skills on the basketball court in one of our youth basketball leagues. Practice fo rall leagues begins the week of September 18.
    • Clinics: All clinics are drill-oriented and work on ball handling, dribbling, passing, shooting, offensive and defensive techniques, spacing skills and footwork. 
    • We need volunteers! Volunteer to coach a youth sports league and support us in developing youth in our community. Contact Isaiah Bacon at [email protected].
  • Peewee lessons! Lessons available on Saturdays, 8:00am - 9:00am. Get ready to get in the game! -  Registration coming soon! 

ADVENTURE CLUBS

Adventure Clubs at the YMCA nurture the relationships between parents and children through camping and other outdoor activities. Enjoy weekend campouts (tent and cabin camping) from the desert to the mountains and beaches. Parents and their children can look forward to making new friends and participating in activities such as hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking, crafts, campfire skits and more! Learn more.

JR LIFEGUARD CLINICS

Our YMCA is beginning our JR Lifeguard prep clinics to help you pass the city swim test for the JR Lifeguard program! These clinics will focus on freestyle endurance and speed, open water awareness and treading water.

  • Sign up at the Welcome Center now for these once-a-week, hour-long clinics and prepare to ace the swim test! Cost:  $66 members | $88 nonmembers

WATER POLO CLINICS

Practice your skills with fun drills in our water polo clinics! Swimmers learn drills and swim conditioning, water polo game play and rules while practicing practice ball handling, passing and shooting. Swimmers should be intermediate or advanced, stage 4 or above. Practices are every Saturday from 1:00-3:00pm.

  • Pay by the month or drop-in! Monthly cost:  $132 members | $176 nonmembers. Drop-in rates: $30 members | $37.50 nonmembers

FLICK N' FLOAT

We invite you to join us on Saturday, September 9 from 6:00pm9:00pm for a Flick n' Float, featuring the new film, Elemental! Families will be provided the option of registering with dinner which will be provided by a local pizzeria named Timmy's Place, who train and employ homeless youth. It's tasty pizza and supports a great organization! Doors open at 6:00pm and the film will begin at 7:15pm. COMMUNITY CPR CLASSES

Learn lifesaving skills for adults, children and infants from emergency scene assessment, to choking and CPR. Visit the Welcome Center to register today!

Women's Wellness Weekend

September 22-24, 2023 | $199 member / $225 non-member – Join us at Camp Martson for a relaxing weekend filled with camp activities, delicious meals and classes focused on mind and body wellness. Register today!

GET FIT AND THRIVE CHALLENGE

Children between the ages of 6 and 14 are invited to participate in the Get Fit and Thrive Challenge. Participants can fill out their Get Fit and Thrive Challenge cards by engaging in healthy activities at the Y. Playing sports, swimming, taking a gymnastics class, and exercising at the fitness center are all activities that qualify for the challenge.

Challenge includes monthly prize drawings as well as a grand-prize drawing for a weekend retreat at the Hotel Del Coronado! The contest is scheduled to run until August 2023. Click here more information.

FEEDING SAN DIEGO

The Ryan Family YMCA hosts a produce pantry in partnership with Feeding San Diego every first and third Friday of the month from 11:00am - 12:00pm. Mark your calendars and learn more!

BLOOD DRIVES
