SAN DIEGO LOYAL SC PARTNERSHIP

The YMCA of San Diego County has partnered with San Diego Loyal SC, our hometown professional soccer team, and Rady Children’s Hospital to strengthen our youth soccer leagues by providing guidance in skill development and coaching, health best practices to help players develop self-confidence, positive relationships and resilience. CHILD WATCH MEMBERSHIP OPTION

Family members can opt to add a Child Watch option to their accounts, which includes unlimited use of the service for $20 monthly. Use your Child Watch benefit at any YMCA that offers the service. While you exercise or relax at the Y, children can play under the supervision of trained YMCA staff. Child Watch is open to children ages 6 weeks to 9 years old!

  • Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 11:30am.
  • Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
  • Saturdays from 8:00am to 12:00am.

BE WELL: CONVERSATIONS IN MINDFULNESS

Our popular Be Well webinar series, hosted by our Executive Director, Jonathon Collopy, Ph.D., features discussions with industry experts on how to cultivate calm and build resilience in ourselves. Register for upcoming webinars and learn more.

THE PRACTICE: MINDFUL MEDITATION

Join us on Tuesdays at 9:30am for The Practice, 30-minute mindful meditation sessions facilitated by our Executive Director, Jonathon Collopy, Ph.D. Experience the resource of stillness, from which we can be aware of the present, bring calm into our lives and find the clarity to view and choose how we will be. Sessions are held in the MPR room. Please register at the Welcome Center to reserve your spot.

INBODY ASSESSMENTS

HEALTH AND WELLNESS ORIENTATION

Meet with a Wellness Coach to get acquainted with equipment and classes, ask questions and chart a path to reach your goals. Schedule your 30-minute orientation at the Welcome Center! PICKLEBALL

Come and play pickleball in the gym, starting June 20:

  • TIMES: 
    MWF: 8:00 to 10:30am | 2:00 to 4:00pm

    Tu/Th: 8:00 to 10:30am
  • LEVELS: Monday/Wednesday - Intermediate/Advanced | Tuesday/Thursday - Beginning/Intermediate | Friday - All levels.

  • The Y will provide all equipment. Members will be responsible for setup and takedown, keeping score, rules, monitoring, etc.

Activities for Kids and Families

Parents' Night Out

Friday, June 24: Enjoy an evening out while we entertain the kids! Dinner, snacks, movie, games, and crafts will be provided. Child care is for children ages 3-9 only. Children must be fully potty trained. Reservations are required.

CHARACTER BUILDERS

Registration for Ryan Family YMCA Character Builders before and/or after school child care is open for the 2022-2023 school year. View all Character Builder site locations and learn more.

SUMMER SPORTS

Come out and play this summer at the Y. Registration is open now for youth soccer and basketball leagues. Games begin July 9. View options here.

JR. LIFEGUARD CLINICS

Jr. Lifeguard Clinics are geared towards swimmers who are preparing for the San Diego Junior Lifeguard program. Participants will practice skills related to the swim test based on their age group. We will work primarily on freestyle, developing endurance and speed needed for swimming in the ocean. Register here.

WATER POLO CLINICS

Water Polo clinics are great for beginner and intermediate water polo players to practice skills and drills specific to the sport such as head up swim, treading, game knowledge and ball handling skills. Learning is focused on refining specialized skills, stroke mechanics, improving technique and endurance. Register here.

SUMMER CAMP

The countdown to camp is on! Registration is open for summer day camps at 14 YMCAs and three overnight camps at YMCA Camp Marston, YMCA Raintree Ranch and YMCA Camp Surf. Sign up today to save your spot — many camps are already full.
