EXPANDING OUR SERVICES
In 2022, the Border View Family YMCA launched an innovative and sustainable YMCA-based center with expanded offerings that provides accessible services, resources and support to meet community needs. We are excited to announce we have reintroduced group exercise classes and offer additional on-site community support services. As we move forward together, we plan to reopen the Border View Family YMCA in a phased approach and provide a safe place for youth, adults and families that fosters connection and increases access to a wide range of services.

NEW YMCA APP
The new YMCA app makes it easy to stay connected to the Y. Use it to scan in at the Y, check schedules for group fitness classes, pools and facilities, add activities to your calendar and more. Learn more.
YOUTH SPORTS & PEEWEE LESSONS
Come out and play at Border View Family YMCA! We have new basketball and volleyball clinics available on Saturdays! View all clinics available to you!
- Youth Sports Clinics:
- Basketball: Weekly 60-minute basketball clinics for ages 6-13. Ages 6-7 and 8-9 at 8:00am. Ages 10-13 at 9:00am. Register now!
- Volleyball: Weekly 60-minute volleyball clinics for ages 6-13. Ages 6-9 at 10:00am. Ages 10-13 at 11:00am. Register now!
- Peewee Lessons:
- Multisport: New multisport clinic starting for our peewees (ages 3-5). Our peewee program will teach young athletes the skills and fundamentals needed to play a variety of sports, such as basketball, soccer, ninja, and track and field! Come out and play at Border View Y. Register now for peewee sports!

Membership and Pass Options
Pass Options:
- Day Pass: $8 - Pay as you go! Includes access to one group exercise class. Available for purchase in-person at the branch.
- Class Pass: $28/month - Ensure your spot in your favorite class is reserved! Includes one class at the same time, on the same day each week (4 classes/month). During months where there are five classes in the month, the class pass will be $35.
Membership Options:
New lower prices! Members will have access to all 14 YMCA locations in San Diego County, all group exercise classes, the Virtual Y library of live and on-demand fitness classes and the computer lab in the Border View Family YMCA lobby.

- Family II: $79/month
- Senior: $35/month
- Teen/Young Adult: $25/month

Please Note:
During this first phase of the reopening, family locker rooms and single-use restrooms will be available. Unfortunately, locker rooms, showers, Child Watch, the fitness center and pool will remain closed at this time. We are working hard to expand our services and amenities and will keep you updated. We look forward to welcoming you back!

CASA FAMILIAR
Casa Familiar providing support to community members with direct immigration services and immigration-related information. Consultations available for diverse immigration processes by a DOJ Accredited Representative that do not require legal assistance.
On-site support available at Border View Family YMCA on the following dates:

CHULA VISTA COMMUNITY COLLABORATIVE
Chula Vista Community Collaborative will be providing an on-site promotora who is the first point of contact for clients accessing services at a Family Resource Center (FRC) and responds to all referrals, walk-ins and incoming calls.
- Conducts basic client intake, screening and referrals.
- Accurately inputs information into database and maintain client confidentiality.
- Maintains and updates information on resources and services available in the community (including all supplemental services).
- Assists with completing client forms as necessary.
- Receives and screens telephone calls providing information as necessary or directing the caller to proper person.
On-site services to be offered at Border View Family YMCA:
Monday & Wednesday Evenings 5:00pm-8:00pm
SAN YSIDRO HEALTH
San Ysidro Health provides access to pediatric medical services via the Mobile Clinic. These services include:
- Physical exams (routine, school and sports)
- WIC Hemolgobin Test
- Immunizations (bring your child’s shot record)
- TB Skin Test (2 months – 17 years)
On-site services provided on the fourth Wednesday of each month 9:00AM-2:45PM closed 12:00PM-1:00PM.

Connecting You To Care
We've streamlined the child care search process with our enhanced referral system to help parents make the best decision for their families. Learn more!
- Free Behavior Support Consultation Services for caregivers seeking support for challenging behaviors in children ages 0-8 (virtual and on-site).

- Community Listening Sessions: We encourage community members to share their ideas, preferences and perspectives at our Community Listening Sessions.
- Conmigo Project: We are partnering with San Diego State University Research Foundation to work with Latina mothers and their daughters to increase physical activity, mother-daughter communication and other areas of health and wellness.
- Parent engagement and education sessions.
CalEITC
Get a head start on your taxes this year! For qualifying San Diegans, filing this year is easier than ever and could put money back in your pocket. We’re hosting free in-person tax filing appointments with multilingual volunteer income tax assistance professionals at three of our branch locations throughout the county:

Help Paying for Child Care
Do you or someone you know need help paying for child care?
The San Diego County Centralized Eligibility List (CEL) is one application that connects you to different agencies across San Diego to help pay for child care for families who qualify.
