HEALTHY KIDS DAY — APRIL 20

Celebrate Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 20 — where fun and play become lifelong memories! This free event is open to the public and part of the Y's national initiative to promote active minds and healthy bodies. We stand with families in their efforts to teach healthy habits and keep kids active and learning, preparing them for a brighter future. PERSONAL TRAINING SPECIAL

APRIL 1 - 30

If you've been thinking about hiring a personal trainer, April is a great month to get started! Through the month of April, you can get 5 one-on-one sessions for $249 or 10 for $479! That's up to $71 in savings!

Our personal trainers use their extensive knowledge of current exercise research concepts, methods of sound exercise principles and state-of-the-art equipment to guide you to your fitness goals. YMCA trainers are accredited through the National Commission of Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or have a degree in exercise science (or a related field). Based on your health and individual needs, our personal trainers will customize and implement a program to help you achieve your goals.

Members can purchase packages online — Click here to find packages by logging into your My Y account, select your branch and click "Personal Training Punch Pass" from the options. Please note that discounts will apply at checkout. You may also purchase in-person by visiting us at the branch! Once you've purchased a package, a branch fitness coach will contact you to discuss your goals and connect you with a trainer.

HIIT CIRCUIT

HIIT Circuit (also known as Total Body Conditioning) is a total body workout consisting of compound movements and cardio focused exercises. This class will challenge you with a variety of fundamental Strength and Conditioning techniques to maximize your time. You can expect to work through cardio and strength intervals that will strengthen your entire body, challenge your endurance and improve your mental strength. This is a great class to maximize your workout and results in a limited time!

Pilates Reformer Training

Pilates Reformer Training is one-on-one training with a certified pilates instructor. You will work on your specific needs incorporating strength, balance and flexibility. This training is perfect for all fitness levels from beginners and those recovering from injury to high level athletes and everything in between. Available for members only.

  • 4x SESSIONS: $265
  • 8x SESSIONS: $515
  • 12× SESSIONS: $745

VINYASA YOGA CLASS

A series of traditional postures that release tension, reduce stress and enhances the mind/body connection. Our Saturday morning Vinyasa yoga, led by Natalia, will benefit your flexibility, core stability, balance, and cognitive health.

FAMILY-FRIENDLY FITNESS

We're happy to announce that we're welcoming youth ages 7 and older at our fitness centers and in some group fitness classes (see class schedules for availability). Note: Youth ages 7 to 12 must complete a family fitness orientation.

  • New teen fitness classes! Join us for our fitness classes catered to teens ages 11-17 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:15am!

HEALTH AND WELLNESS ORIENTATION

Meet with a wellness coach to get acquainted with equipment and classes, ask questions and chart a path to reach your goals. Schedule your 30-minute orientation at the Welcome Center! Learn more.

Family-time is special at the Y. Spend time together and discover new activities for your child to explore.

SWIM LESSONS

Sign up for group or private swim lessons! Registration opens on the 15th of the month for members and on the 17th of the month for nonmembers. - Register today.

YOUTH SPORTS

Come out and play at nearby McGrath Family YMCASpring season starts the beginning of April. - Register today!

  • Youth leagues: Registration for spring leagues are now open! Registration remains open until teams are full. Soccer leagues are available for ages 6-7, 8-9, 10-13. Games and practices take place on Saturdays. 
  • Youth clinics: Youth (ages 6-12)  clinics for soccer and baseball continue monthly through June. 
  • Peewee lessons: New peewee (ages 4-5) are happening monthly! Sign up today at the membership services desk or register today online
  • Volunteer! We need parent volunteers for youth sports coaching! The Y will provide training and guidance to our soccer league volunteer coaches. If you can help, contact Tyler Rutter at [email protected].

YAA EVENTS

  • Everyone is invited to join our bridge club on Wednesdays from 12:00pm - 2:00pm.

FREE BALANCE ASSESSMENTS

Sign up at the Welcome Center for a 5-minute balance assessment with the Family Health Centers. A physical therapist will be on hand to explain your results and share recommendations for exercise or referrals to specialized care. Balance is important to your well-being! Here's why:

  • Balance is key to maintaining or improving your independence with activities, allowing you to rely less on others to complete your daily tasks.
  • Balance improves your ability to move with confidence.
  • Improving balance can decrease your risk of falling and injury.
  • Good balance brings confidence to exercise more, which can decrease your overall stress and improve your overall mood!
